According to the filing, Hughes was informed on June 20th, 2023 that she had exhausted her defense coverage and her counsel would be withdrawing from the case.

On July 10th, 2023, the following out-of-state LLC registered with the same business address and similar business name as Hughes’ LLC, Well Coached Life, LLC.

The registration was filed by Keila Nakasaka. A quick search on Linkedin found that this person was a California attorney who specialized in “asset protection strategies,” “sophisticated wealth protection strategies,” and “Domestic Asset Protection Trusts” – among other specialties.

Searching for the entity in the Alaska Secretary of State Corporations Database found the following record. It appears to be an LLC registered on June 26th, 2023 – 6 days after Hughes was informed of her impending loss of counsel – and 100% owned by “Sarah Trust” with Vanessa Hughes as the manager:
